We recently had the absolute joy of capturing T&M’s wedding at 716 West in Decatur, GA (formerly known as the Mary Gay House), and it was one of those days that left us feeling truly inspired. From the very first moment we met them for their engagement session a few months before the big day, we knew their wedding would be filled with love, laughter, and intentional moments. Their connection is undeniable, and it was such a fun experience to see them interact with ease, proving that their wedding day would be just as incredible.
The day began with an intimate first look, a quiet moment between T&M before the excitement of the ceremony began. You could feel the love and anticipation between them—it was such a tender moment that set the tone for everything to come. After their first look, we captured some beautiful wedding party photos and couples portraits, each moment reflecting the warmth and happiness that filled the air.
Their ceremony was truly something special. With a live violinist adding a personal touch, the moment felt even more intimate and emotional. The couple exchanged vows that were filled with meaning, and as they made their promises to each other, tears were shed, smiles followed, and it was clear just how much love surrounded them. It was the kind of ceremony that makes you pause and appreciate the power of love.
The reception that followed was equally memorable. The energy was contagious, and we could feel the love radiating throughout the room. T&M’s guests were just as excited to celebrate their union, and the atmosphere was filled with joy, warmth, and genuine connection. The dances were so sweet (how’s that for a change?)—the kind of moments that bring everyone to tears and then laughter as the couple shared their first dance and danced with loved ones.
T&M’s wedding was brimming with thoughtful details that made it so unique. They cut their cake with a sword—yes, a sword!—which added a fun and unexpected touch to the classic cake cutting moment. The cake itself was adorned with fresh fruit, making it as beautiful as it was delicious. As a special personal detail, their handmade cake topper featured two cats, their tails intertwined to form a heart with “T&M” engraved. It was just one of many sweet touches that truly reflected who they are as a couple.
And who could forget the champagne pyramid? Thanks to the amazing staff at 716 West, the pyramid was not only a stunning visual moment, but it also added an extra layer of excitement to the celebration. The guests were thrilled, and it made for a perfect photo op!
As avid book lovers, T&M incorporated their love of writing and literature into the day’s decor. On the book signing table, guests were welcomed with bubbles and bookmarks with fun details about the couple’s love story. The reception tables featured stacks of books tied together as centerpieces, creating a literary vibe that felt so authentic to T&M’s personalities. And for favors, guests received jars of honey with a honeycomb spoon—a thoughtful and sweet keepsake that was as memorable as it was unique.
Weddings like T&M’s are a reminder of why we do what we do. It’s not just about capturing beautiful moments—it’s about preserving the essence of the day, the love, the laughter, and the genuine connection between two people who are committed to sharing their lives together. T&M’s day was filled with moments that truly reflected who they are, and we’re so grateful to have been a part of their journey.
